All About Houses (456 Houses), sculpture installation, 140x160 cm, 2020-21
456 square pieces of latex with transfered pictures of houses, sewed altogether with cotton thread, attached to a metal bar suspended with two chains.
This work is a collection of houses portraits. The house here acts as an archetype, the idea of. With a skin-like appearance, each piece embodies the idea of the house challenging the strength carried through images. The repetition of the shape exhausts itself causing a sort of semantic satiation, and as some images get blurrier, other remain clear allowing the viewer to realise that some of the images are real while some other are 3d renders. Replicating the look of analog film, the miniatures become a whole.
